W3
W3 means a repaired panel with an obvious wave.

repair trace
The bodywork on this panel is bad enough that the inspector marked it as conspicuous. Filler is thick, the shape is wrong, or the paint has already started to lift at the edge of the repair.
Assume the panel has to be redone from bare metal, and assume you will find something under the filler that the last shop did not fix.
Two or more W3 marks on the same side of a car is not a series of accidents. It is one accident, and the sheet grade should reflect it. If it does not, read the grade with suspicion.
What it should do to your bid
Treat a W3 as evidence of an accident whether or not the grade says R. Bid on the car you can see, not the grade.
