DC2

Honda Integra Type R, DC2

B18C, 1.8 naturally aspirated, front-wheel drive

Widely held to be the best front-wheel-drive car ever made, and priced accordingly since about 2020. Most of the run has cleared the 25-year rule.

The DC2 has been modified, tracked and crashed more than most, and it has also been faked. The chassis number on the sheet is the first line to read.

01What to read first on a DC2 sheet

Confirm the chassis number

Type R clones built from ordinary Integras exist in numbers. The sheet's chassis number is the cheapest authentication available.

Front-end damage

A B mark or an R grade on a DC2 usually means a front impact. On a car with a helical differential and specific suspension geometry, straightness is not cosmetic.

Interior completeness

Original Recaro seats, the correct steering wheel and the red carpet are worth real money and frequently missing. Interior grade and notes are where that shows.

Every mark named above is defined in the codes library, with what it costs to put right at US rates.

Be told when a DC2 matters

We write when the DC2 clears another month of the 25-year rule, when the yen moves more than 3% your way, and once when the free Decode opens. Nothing else.
