G

G means a stone chip in the glass.

A chip from road debris, marked on the glass area of the diagram. Almost every Japanese car with real mileage has at least one.

A chip that has not started to run is a resin repair costing less than a tank of fuel. A chip with a crack leading away from it is a windscreen, and a windscreen for a 1990s JDM model is a parts hunt.

Ask which it is before you bid on a car where the glass is the only mark. It is the cheapest question on the sheet to answer.

What it should do to your bid

No adjustment for a G on its own.
